The Race School will be operating the following on the set days

Thursday 15th June - ACU Pre License Classroom course 18.30 - 21.30 at the Hospitality Suite, TT Grandstand, Douglas

The course fee is £50.00, Cheques made payable Andreas Racing Association Ltd.

Track Coaching sessions on following date

17th June 2006

The Track Coaching session fee is £35.00, Cheques made payable Andreas Racing Association Ltd.

 

Please note that the track coaching sessions are available for anybody wishing to try out the sport. You aren't required to have a race licence or be a club member.

Andreas Race School

Riders take to the track for two sessions, before and after official competitors practice on a race day. A full riding assessment is carried out, lap times recorded, riding critiqu made and certificate of performance awarded.

In order to save new competitors travelling to the UK to attend a road racing school at one of the permanent circuits, with all the attendant time and expense, the Andreas Racing Association have set up a school at the Jurby Airfield Circuit to be run for race meetings.

Participants can use their own road machines (of any capacity) and leathers, provided that they comply with safety regulations governing the sport. The scheme enables rider the chance to `taste the tarmac' under race conditions.

This initiative by the ARA is seen as encouraging local talent to take up the sport. As an incentive, the highest scoring rider of the year is awarded free entries in the novice race during the following year.
